Live in such a way bible verse

1 Peter 21 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him--5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame." [1]7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, [2] " [3]8 and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." [4] They stumble because they disobey the message--which is also what they were destined for.9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.15 For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.16 Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.17 Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.18 Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." [5]23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.25 For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

    Bible verses about role models

Being a role model for others is very important in Christianity. We are to be the light of the world. Unbelievers cannot see because they are in darkness. We are to let our light shine. That doesn’t mean we are to try to act religious and put on a front in front of others, but we are to imitate Christ.

Live in such a way bible verse

Allowing others to see our light can lead others to finding Christ. God is going to use you to save some people in your life. The best testimony is not what we say to others, it’s how we live our lives.

Even if they seem like they don’t care unbelievers are always watching us. Not only should we be a role model to outsiders and other believers, but we should be a good example for our kids.

Kids tend to pick up on what they see. If they see bad they’re going to do bad and if they see good they’re going to do good.

Teach them by example. Fix your eyes on Jesus who is the ultimate role model.

It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people. “You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket. Instead, everyone who lights a lamp puts it on a lamp stand. Then its light shines on everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven.

    7. Titus 1:6-8 An elder must be blameless. He must be the husband of one wife and have children who are believers and who are not accused of having wild lifestyles or of being rebellious. Because an overseer is God’s servant manager, he must be blameless. He must not be arrogant or irritable. He must not drink too much, be a violent person, or make money in shameful ways. Instead, he must be hospitable to strangers, must appreciate what is good, and be sensible, honest, moral, and self-controlled.

    Women

    12. Titus 2:3-5 Likewise, older women are to show their reverence for God by their behavior. They are not to be gossips or addicted to alcohol, but to be examples of goodness. They should encourage the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible and pure, to manage their households, to be kind, and to submit themselves to their husbands. Otherwise, the word of God may be discredited.

    16. 1 Corinthians 8:12 When you sin against other believers in this way and harm their weak consciences, you are sinning against Christ.

    Examples

    24. 1 Thessalonians 1:5-7 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

    25. 2 Thessalonians 3:7-9 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.

What is the meaning of 1st Peter 2 11?

Peter has made it clear that we have been saved from the penalty for our sin in Christ. And we have been freed from the authority of sin; we have the ability to choose not to sin now, in the power of God's Holy Spirit. In other words, we have not lost the "want" to sin.

The intertexture analysis of Matthew 12:1-8 revealed that hunger supersedes protocol. Jesus suggested that what was permissible for David was also permissible for his disciples. In doing so he implied that people's needs took precedent over institutional rules.
