Fairfield inn and suites lake buena vista marriott village

The hotel

The Marriott Village is a wonderful combination of 3 quality hotels in 1 resort, giving you the benefit of facilities at all 3 hotels for 1 great price! Each hotel gives you a different experience, with the Fairfield Inn providing a quality stay for those looking for great value. And If somebody was to offer you a hotel that provides complimentary breakfast and is just 3 minutes drive from Walt Disney World, with a complimentary shuttle to drop you to the door, it would sound too good to be true. It’s not – it’s here! The bunk beds in the family suites will be a hit with the kids, as will the games room and outdoor pool for those moments when you’re not out exploring in the parks. The superb dining and entertainment choices of Downtown Disney are only minutes away,  and it’s not just great for Disney, you're close to all the attractions on International Drive and a short hop from the Orlando outlets.

Not sure where to begin. I guess it starts with taking 1 hour to check in. I called earlier in the day to confirm my reservation, as I booked through a third party. Woman on the phone took a few minutes but she did locate the reservation. Upon arrival check in agent could still not find the previously confirmed reservation and called manager. Took 20 minutes for the MOD to show up. Then 40 more minutes of problems from there which include not getting the correct room type. After getting to our room we see that they did not give us the correct room type and the sheets were dirty. The shower was also dirty as I well. I would avoid this place, especially with the many other options in the area. This is definitely not an isolated incident as there were many other guests(12+) making complaints/experincing problems as well. Overheard others stating that air conditioner was leaking onto their bed. Staff was also rude. I would appreciate a communication from the GM via email if possible. Read less

Only good thing about this hotel is location. We only stay at Marriott Hotels for the most part. This hotel should not be a Marriott at all. We had leaks in our room the maintenance guy that came to our room didn't speak English and walked out of our room. I went down ask the you boy what was going on and he spoke so fast and was I called maintenance just wait on them, I said they came and don't speak English and left he said ok nothing I can do come back down in morning. I tried to speak to the other guy with ponytail bun and he was on his phone and wouldn't even try to talk to me, the first kid said just come back tomorrow morning for help. There was a maid in the hall way I asked her for towels to put in bathroom in floor and again she didn't speak English. My husband went down stairs again and the same 2 guys were on thier phones and rude and wouldn't help, my husband wanted to speak to a manager and was told come down in morning. The maintenance guy never came back it was a horrible experience. We asked to be moved and explained what happen the night before to the young lady in the morning she was very nice and move us to a room that was musky and the AC was leaking. We finally just left the hotel this is ridiculous. I have left messages for manager and no return call. This is not a Marriott hotel Read less

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn (Marriott Village) before, we travel from the UK and we like the set up and location of this hotel. The closeness to Disney, especially Disney Springs but also within walking distance to Vineland Outlets and a number of restaurants. Marriott Village also offers a food court, play area and shared (additional) amenities. In addition to low resort fees, shuttle services and a 'free' breakfast. What more could you ask for? We had been travelling for over 24 hours. We travelled 4 hours to London for a 3 hour check in for a 9 hour flight to Miami. We waited 3 hours for immigration to be released for a further 4 hour coach drive from Miami to Orlando. Why? Because the flight fare of from the UK is extortionate and LHR-MIA was more budget friendly. The point is, in addition to time difference, we were TIRED. So, upon check in and mention of our extremely long travel day, we were allocated a room. On first impressions this seemed ok. Not what we remembered from prior visits, but this is Orlando and it had a high turnaround, so it wasn't going to be perfect. The beds were very soft and uncomfortable, no safe in the room and the bathroom had seen better days BUT, the room was clean with daily housekeeping and we could use Netflix. At nighttime, we were woken up by noise on the courtyard. We looked out of the window and there was a large group sat directly below us, drinking. Their kids running around screaming in the play area. I realised that we were directly above this noise. Previous visits, had been quieter due to location of our room. This was a Tuesday! The windows are so old, that they don't insulate any sound and we could hear every word of their conversation. We were too tired from travelling, that we just went back to sleep, before being woke up again from the night time guests who had clearly been to the Halloween party at WDW. If that wasn't bad enough, at 7am, we were greeted by the hotels jazz music blasting through our window. Luckily, due to our 'jet lag' we were already awake. Anyway, we had a busy day and we had lots of plans. We were still fairly drained from travel. We headed on down to breakfast...which was a zoo. The hot choices were scrambled egg and turkey sausage patty. Waffles with syrup (or jam). Very limited choice compared to previous times that I've visited. After a long day in the park and watching fireworks, we returned a managed a better nights sleep. But again, by 7am, we were woken to the jazz music played in the courtyard. (The music plays constant rhythm from 7am - 10pm). We dragged ourselves out of bed to face the zoo at breakfast. Alot of guests were still in their pyjamas, it was grim. Another day at the parks and returned to find out interconnecting room was being occupied and the noise had now trebled in volume. The group sat in the courtyard, a level below our window, the jazz music, kids screaming and by now my little girl was so upset that she couldn't sleep. I marched down to reception, whilst the noise was ongoing and told them that I wanted to change rooms in the morning. If this was midweek and my thoughts was if this was the week noise, what was the weekend going to bring. The receptionist, was very kind and asked if I would rather change rooms now. I had declined as it was now late and we would have to pack our belongings and settle into a new room with 2 children. Needless to say, I was allocated a new room in the morning. The windows, still old but limited noise outside. Again interconnecting doors and we could hear every noise from them. The main room doors for the rooms, have a very large gap underneath, so you can also hear every noise from the corridor. Especially when you have kids running around and playing frisbee at 11pm at night. It was a better room though. Had a few roaches. We finally had a rest day and decided to hit the pool. We went down to find that our pool was closed for the duration due to maintainance. We were advised to use Courtyard/Springhill. Easier said than done. We headed on over to the Courtyard and tried to gain access but was informed we needed a door key. So waited in a long line at reception to be given this. We left our room at 10am and didn't get into the pool area until 10.45! Luckily we weren't doing anything, so no quick dips! Overall, although this hotel has everything on paper, its standards are slipping. The staff are friendly and the housekeepers work hard, but the hotel needs some TLC to make it great again. With new hotels being built in Orlando, this needs to keep up, otherwise this will resemble a Quality Inn or Ramada. Would love to give Fairfield another visit, but windows/internal doors need replacing. Jazz music needs shutting off and larger space required for breakfast. There is absolutely no sound proofing in this hotel. Read less

I have stayed in Marriott and the quality in general has gone down a lot! I am a gold member and this is unbelievable. The pools here are offered as the best. One is on maintenance ( they give u illusions and make waste your time offering this and then you go to the doors and surprise!) And the other pools are closed supposedly because of the weather (but security closes them even with Sun) I mean this is incredible! Even the manager didn't noticed that was closed because "of weather conditions" that's because everything was Sunny dahhh! And this system of restraining customers is absolutely out of any criteria! You should have a mechanism for advicing customers about this and the timings . But in general I think they just do it on purpose I am currently in the hotel and I can't stand it anymore (also hotel improvements are badly done with a lote of noises etc) not forgetting to mention the lobby always smells like dirty bathroom The staff at the dining is dumb and rude Read less
