5.0 out of 5 stars Decent Lock Assembly for the Price!

Replaced my β€˜02 Honda CRV drivers door lock. The biggest challenge was getting the cylinder housing clip off from under and behind the lock. A small flat tip screwdriver and flashlight did the trick. Remove the cylinder tumbler from inside of door. I only needed to loosen the two 10mm bolts and slightly push the door handle outward to re-insert the clip in the housing. Once that’s completed, re-tighten the two bolts and insert the new cylinder into the door handle housing until it snaps in past the clip. The rest is just re-assembly. Prior to installing the new cylinder into the door housing, I squirted a little lubricant on the outer assembly and within the lock...I used a little Seafoam Lubricant spray. Works like a new lock, and has a smooth operation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value for the money. Not original quality but they work well. Very Pleased. A+

Overall these are pretty decent locks, especially for the money. No, these are not as good as original but considering that the original locks failed, these may last longer than the originals. The key's aren't quite a perfect fit but they work well enough. We just go easy on them. We chose to go ahead and have them re-keyed and they work well with the factory keys as with the keys they came with. We've been pleased. Depending on your vehicle you may have to snap off the plastic tips but that's easily done. These were installed in a 2004 Honda CRV. Thumbs up.
