The Bear Lake raspberry harvest takes place in late July or the first few weeks of August. The harvest time varies each year, depending on the rain and heat of the summer or harshness of the winters. Weather plays an extremely important role in the raspberry harvest.

Why is Bear Lake famous for raspberries?

The elevation of the Bear Lake Valley – and the lake itself – helps keep temperatures cool, providing an ideal climate to produce sweet berries.
