This post might sound really stupid to some, so I apologize in advance. I'm just totally confused and annoyed and need some help figuring this stuff out... Show
I've had a Gold Delta Amex for almost two years.
On CK, my TU and EQ are showing the balance of $_,___ being reported on February 16, 2018. (Yes, I know CK sucks.)
I'm looking to lease a new car and my credit scores are good (700s) but I'm worried about the high Amex balance showing up on the report, even though it's now paid off. This is the only card I have that hasn't reported my actual balance consistently. I was planning on applying for the lease this week (Mercedes Benz Financial) and have the credit score, income, and DTI covered, but am worried that the high Amex balance will result in a denial. I have no other debts besides that credit card, and now my Amex is paid in full. My other cards have a $0 balance, except a joint account. Can someone please explain this to me like I'm five years old? Maybe I'm just missing something obvious, but it seems strange that Amex is reporting inconsistantly. I was planning on applying for the lease today, and would be REALLY ticked if I had to wait until April 13th or whenever Amex decides to finally report a $0 balance. When should I apply for the car lease? If I get a denial for high utilization, can I just show the dealership finance manager my $0 balance, as it hasn't updated with TU yet? This is just crazy and I'm SO CONFUSED. Thank you for ANY advice!

Which credit bureau does American Express check?American Express uses all three major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian) in order to assess your creditworthiness. Credit reports, however, don't differ that much from bureau to bureau. So, there's a huge overlap between the contents of each major credit report.
