I bought this ice cream because it, allegedly, had no added sugar. After eating 30% of the ice cream, my intuition told me to look at the back of the carton. And, sure enough, it had 13g of added sugar. I'm upset because I should be able to trust that what I'm buying online (this app) is what I'll get in-person. Tastes good, yes, but that's not the point here.☝😤

Amazon update the nutrition picture to match the updated product.

Now, I've had way too much sugar. I was eating thin cookies with this as well.

If I can, I will provide a picture of the PROPER nutrition label.

Slow churned vanilla bean ice cream

Is slow churned ice cream healthy?

Slow churned ice cream is a dairy-based ice cream marketed as a healthier alternative to regular ice cream. It's made with traditional ice cream ingredients, including milk, cream, and sugar, but is lower in total calories and fat due to its unique manufacturing process.

What brand of ice cream is slow churned?

Dreyer's (or Edy's, depending on where you live) first introduced its Slow Churned Ice Cream back in 2004 (the company registered the trademark), and churned has since become the ice cream buzzword du jour.

What is the difference between vanilla bean and regular vanilla ice cream?

The main difference between the two is the substance used to give this treat its familiar flavors. Actual beans are used in vanilla bean ice cream, while only liquid extract is used in the regular version. Vanilla bean is easy to spot since you can visibly see small black grains throughout the product.

Why does Edy's ice cream taste different?

We have removed the artificial colors and flavors from our Slow Churned ice cream after hearing the feedback. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the change.
