Went here a few yrs ago when I had a bad cut on my leg. The staff made me comfortable and not so nervous, I’ll go back when I have an emergency like that.

I had to go to the emergency room on a Saturday morning due to a fall on the ice resulting in a head wound. My daughter and I chose this hospital because of its location near my apartment. From start to finish, I was treated kindly and competently. The reasons for each aspect of my treatment - including a CT scan - were explained to me. I felt confident that I was in good hands. I recommend this emergency room without reservation. If I ever need an emergency room again, I’ll go here.

I been living in NYC for over 10 years. Got sick a number of times, went to the emergency room and never got through to see a doctor this fast yet. This week. As a walk in patient with a terrible cold and allergies, I visited the E.R @ this hospital and the services I received by NP Jennifer Palacios and team in the ADULT e.r room was highly appreciated.. I spent approximately TWENTY MINUTES in total. Thank-you for your service.

I was born here in 1964 and I'm still alive, so I guess they did a pretty good job.

The adult ER is always insanely full and they’ll keep you waiting in lobby for a while even though it’s an emergency. However, the pediatric ER and unit is beyond amazing. The most compassionate nurses and doctors I’ve seen who really handle children with such kindness and support families through hardship.

I came here a few years back after a very scary neurological incident. The nurses here were so kind to me. I was nervous going into a CT scan and one of the extremely sweet nurses held my hand while I cried and reassured me everything would be ok. It meant so much to me, being alone in that situation, to have that support. Thank you nurse whoever you were. All in all, a good experience here, even though I did see a roach in the bathroom :/ That's NYC for you.

I’ve been a patient at NYP for quite a while and the service from my doctor & nurses was outstanding. I brought my mother who lives in another state on an emergency basis on July 8th between 8am - 2pm in the er. The intake and vita department did a good job. However, when we were brought to the Emerency treatment area I witness a different level of staff and service. This rating would have been 5 stars BUT the FEMALE AIDS who I believe where there HELP patient are a JOKE‼️ For the 6 hours while in their presents, at least 4 aids sat around just about nothing, 80% of their the time was sitting around conversing with one another, one their phones, eating food out of food cart which was for the patients. One of the aid YELLD at a patient who had some mental issues but obviously needed physical help and another patient needed help to the bathroom. She didn’t want to get up and walk 50 feet to help the patient (as if she had her hands full with other patients) There was another patient who had bladder issue and she was yelling at her as why she keeps going to the BR… WOW!! What gives her the right or privilege to speak to another person in that manner???? #nypresbyterianbrooklyn #weillcornellmedical #columbiahospital Are outstanding institution and I cannot believe you would allow this type of service or behavior in YOUR Hospital… On the positive side the Team of Doctors/Attendees, student doctors and cardiovascular surgeon and 3rd floor recovery team showed the most outstanding respect to me and my family. They gave us our options and what to expect. Thank You 🙏🏼❣️

I swear alot of these new nurses are horrible. All they do is sit around and gossip. Men and women. Talk about the patients, and talk amongst themselves while ppl are here in pain a suffering. I came in for asthma. They sent me straight to the back. I sat there for 40 minutes before anyone came to me. And I had to say something for them to come to me. Instead of giving me a treatment they gave me an asthma pump. Smh I have asthma pumps at home. Alot of these ER nurses need to be fired or moved to a area where their not dealing with ppl. This hospitals ER has become so sad. Someone needs to step in and fix this before they have a lawsuit. I've been coming here since a Child, I see the major decline in service. Didn't wanna give this bad review, but it had to be said. Doubt anything will change anyway.

Horrible experience. They just try to get rid of you, telling that everything is fine without performing any tests. Doctor literally told me that he doesn’t know what with me but it does not worth doing tests. Total neglect. He refused to call supervisor, and simply discharged me. With the sever allergy reaction all over face and body and no shot or any prescription (told him that my pills did not work). Called patient relations person and the only option to see another doctor was to check in again, I ended up getting appropriate help in 7.5 hours from original arrival.

Came here two weeks ago due to having constant panic attacks and nausea, the doctor I seen had no bedside manners . I told him I can’t speak due to dental implants and he still preferred I speak rather then my husband . I cried and told him I felt as if I was gonna die also on the verge of throwing up and he still made me sit among other patients .. I ended up throwing up where I was sitting and no one came to check on me .. apparently my husband was suppose to play the role of a doctor. Told the doctor since he can’t help me I’ll like to leave . He handed me my discharge papers in less then two minutes .. in my previous experience it had taken over 30 minutes to get discharged but somehow doctor Mathew was able to discharge me in a blink of a eye . I will never recommend this place

Came in with bad food poisoning. Took them maybe 5 hours to talk to me / examine me. Ignored my distress. There was one good doctor, rushed off his feet. A million nurses, none of whom seemed to care if I lived or died and who repeatedly said they'd do something or tell the doctor something and then sat right back down with their friends. Awful experience.

Long time it was good hospital but now No The service is bad the dr and nurses not all of them some of them they so rude if you feel tired don't work stay home no respect for people they treat them like sheep I don’t care if you tired or no when some body want to be a dr and he swear he has to respect his job and they are very racist with patient black or muslims.
