So, I got this email last night... Show "Amazon will no longer be supporting the Prime Video app on your VIZIO Smart TV with VIZIO Internet Apps (V.I.A.) as of September 26, 2019. We are continually upgrading our service and this occasionally means we can no longer support certain device models. "To help you to continue streaming your favorite content, we’re offering you a $25 discount off MSRP towards select Fire TV devices which will allow you to continue to stream your favorites from Prime Video. To redeem, add a Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, or Fire TV Cube to your cart and enter the below promo code at checkout. This offer ends on November 1, 2019." Not sure exactly which TVs this affects, but mine is a 2018 Model (E43-F1), so it is not like they are just discontinuing support on old models. Worth noting that Sept 26th is also the same day they are premiering 4k for their Thursday Night NFL broadcast...I suspect the two are related. Update: Prime Videos is still working on my TV...so I am wondering why I even got this e-mail. Prime Video supports Vizio Smart TV, which means you can use the prime video on Vizio Smart TV. Now the question is, how? In this post, I am going to tell you how you can use Amazon Prime Video on Vizio Smart TV. Vizio Smart TV comes with preinstalled popular streaming platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, etc. So you just need to go to your apps section -> open Prime Video -> enter the login details. When I press the Amazon button on the remote it does not open, but the the little network info at the top of the screen pops up. There is no network issue, Netflix works just fine and I used to successfully watch Amazon on it occasionally. At first I thought it was the remote, but since the window with network connection info pops up, I think it might be a tv or app issue? Any
ideas? Has anyone else had this problem? Aug 11, 2018

It is possible a TV app issue. Try to clear cache and data for Amazon Video then reboot the app.

In Canada, with a VIZIo, do a factory reset on the TV, then in the setup choose USA as your location, not Canada, then time zone etc. This opens up all kinds of APPS, including Amazon Prime and HULO etc. Sep 24, 2018 2 0 10

I've had the same exact problem. I used Amazon all the time as well as iheart directly from the remote. Only Netflix works now. I did a factory reset with no change. Frustrating. Oct 7, 2018 1 0 10

Any ideas? Has anyone else had this problem? Using the TV remote, power off TV. Once it's off, just press the PRIME button and the TV will boot up in Amazon prime app. That's how I got mine to work. I stumbled on this accedently. Nov 13, 2018 1 0 10 0

Here is what I did a moment ago. I disconnected and reconnected the power of the TV. Then removed and reinstalled the battery in the remote. Then everything was back to normal. Dec 3, 2018 1 0 10

Turn the TV off, then press the Amazon (or Prime) button and it turns the TV on and sends you straight to Amazon! This has been driving me batty for at least two years and I've googled
for the answer so many times and this is the first one that has worked. THANK YOU! Dec 16, 2018

It is possible a TV app issue. Try to clear cache and data for Amazon Video then reboot the app. I had the same issue. I had to reset my factory settings, go to my apps, click on Amazon App and get the app to recognize my TV. Once all completed, I could then use the amazon button on the remote.
