I complained to Amazon about a damaged item. They instantly reacted by processing a return for the product. I made it clear that I had no desire to return my item. I contacted a customer sales rep who says they definitively cancelled the return, but the return request is still showing up. I can’t cancel it manually. There is no option to whatsoever. I looked at the "cancel a return" section on the site to make sure I was in the right place.

I got an email conformation that the return has been cancelled. Does it take a while to show that it's been cancelled or what?

Some of you may have read/helped me in my previous post, where i was asking for info because i was afraid a seller might have been bait&switching on me.

Well, in the end i decided that the seller was worthy of trust and decided to wait 10 days for his stock to be re...stocked.

Amazon however has automatically cancelled the order and appearently i am "not being charged" with the item's expenses.

However that money has not been refunded to me.

I've read that this is totally automatic and my payement gets put in "hold" until the seller has confirmed that he shipped the items.

So, in short my question is:

[TL:DR] How much do i have to wait to get my money back after an order has been cancelled?

(Details: Paid through Mastercard.I'm kinda pissed.)

In my experience with Amazon, in cases like this I've received a full refund 100% of the time.

I recently purchased pots and pans, my husband found a set from the same seller/manufacturer with just a few more pieces that we needed so I requested a refund on the first set, which was already en route to me. I received a full refund AND was able to keep the $120 set once I received it. I'd say give it a try, if you happen to make a stink (doesn't even have to be a big one) you can usually get a refund on virtually everything with no problems.
