Apr 10, 2016 After loosing the speedometer then getting a CEL I need to replace the speed sensor on my 07 Civic EX Coupe. I have the part on the way (Honda 28810-PWR-013).... I removed the battery and battery tray, got the sir cleaner box out of the way, but I cannot seem to find where the sensor is. It should be visible now, but I cant seem to find it. Can anyone help me out? THANKS Joined Dec 20, 2015 · 478 Posts
Manual or Auto - in either case the sensor is in the same general area. Have you removed the wiring harness from the air support box bracket and then removed that bracket? Joined Jul 1, 2007 · 6 Posts

Might be possible but the housing bulges out underneath it. Hope this helps. \/\/\/

Dec 19, 2019 (Edited) Hi all, I recently went over a bump and all of a sudden lost my speedometer, power steering and reverse gear was unlocked. I figure this is due to the VSS / wires / connector malfunctioning or maybe just even loose. I've trawled these forums looking for how to replace and unfortunately most of the images aren't up anymore and I just can't
seem to find where the damn sensor is. I first tried jacking the front of the car up but couldn't see it, then I removed the air box and still can't find it! It's a UK 1.8 Civic. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Joined May 27, 2018 · 2 Posts

Dec 19, 2019 UPDATE: I found it! Right at the back of the transmission. It is accessible by removing the air box. The sensor had visible damage on it, so I ordered the replacement which for me was 28810-PWR-013 , couldn't find it anywhere online that wasn't from china and I need my car for christmas so I ordered it from my local honda dealership for £83
with next day pickup. I'm going to post a full guide once I've got it fitted as there is really no solid guide online and it seems to be a fairly common issue. Joined May 24, 2021 · 2 Posts
