This video shows you how to add transmission fluid to your 2001 Nissan Frontier. Before adding transmission fluid, make sure that your engine was running when you checked the fluid level. If the transmission fluid level on your Frontier is low, you need to add fluid through the dipstick tube. Nissan has been developed sophisticated transmissions through years and it is critical that you add the exact type of transmission fluid stipulated by your owner's manual (typically in the back of the manual in a section titled Fluid Capacities.) When adding transmission fluid to your Frontier, be sure to add it slowly as the transmission fluid capacity is reached quickly and it is difficult to remove excess fluid if you overfill. If you are having problems with the transmission in your Frontier, such as clunky shifting or hesitation, check the fluid level first - it is amazing how many drivers pay thousands of dollars for transmission work when a half quart of transmission fluid would have fixed the problem.

A check engine light can be cleared with a simple fix or it could be a major problem - find out now! Leaking coolant is usually a sign that your water pump needs to be replaced. This video shows you how to quickly plug it If you have an electrical component that doesn't work, try replacing the fuse first Sure you can take it in for a $19 lube, but are you OK with a stripped oil pan and cheap parts in return? 12-07-2016, 07:35 PM #5

The caR50 Pathfinders use the same transmission, transfer case, and differentials as the WD21, so lube specifications for those will be the same. I do not have the information available for the rest, however. The commonly known TSB for the WD21 manual transmission was fixed at the factory when the R50 was introduced. Nothing fancy, just the basics. Please, feel free to add to the list. Type: Manual transmission oil:
