The show will be staged at The Esplanade from 5 Jan and runs for 22 performances. The rock-powered production follows two revolutionaries as they try to save rock and roll in a post-apocalyptic world. Singapore’s first night festival for the year, Light to Night, is back from 6 to 26 Jan. There are over 60 programmes and artworks, both by local and international artists, that you and the fam can check out across the Civic District. Psst, National Gallery Singapore will be offering free entry on Fridays to Sundays during the festival period and will extend its opening hours to 11pm on the same days.

There are four new visitors to Sentosa’s Palawan Beach! As part of a new art installation (with a focus on recycling – love that), you and the kiddos won’t want to miss snapping a pic with the ‘Explorers of Sentosa’. Based on a poem written by artist Thomas Dambo, the art tells the story of a family of giants living at Palawan Beach and their discovery of ‘eternity material’. Made from recycled timber (and weighing in at 5.5 tonnes – that’s the same as three family-sized cars!), they make for a great family photo opp and a fun day out.

10. Visit the brand new Tiong Bahru Bakery – just opened on Crane Road
