What does the repeat button look like on apple music

level 1

Shuffle, Repeat, Autoplay similar songs

level 2

Correct and if you tap repeat (the loop) it will switch between looping all songs (in playlist or album) and looping a single song (there will be a 1 in the corner of the loop icon).

level 1

Pass on left or right

Two way street

Double round about

level 2

i always thought the last one ment "danger super heroes in vicinity".

level 1

Shuffle, repeat, and “infinity”

Last one just auto plays your “algorithm” after what you have on runs out as long as the repeat isn’t turned on.

level 2

The infinity symbol can be a bit confusing. I mean, after someone explains it I get the logic, but I initially thought that it would repeat the current song forever. I wonder if they tested a radio icon instead — as in “create a radio station similar to this song or playlist.”

level 1

I don't see what's so hard here. Every single music player uses these features in a similar manner.

level 2

And the first two have existed since CD players were invented.

level 1

The infinite button is indeed confusing as it could be turned on along with loop, it’s meaningless with loop on.

level 1

Pretty sure OP isn’t asking what each individual button does, but what would happen if they’re all enabled at once, as the outcome isn’t immediately obvious to them.

level 1

im amazed at how you had trouble with that. but i guess good design should work for everyone

level 2

I understand what these do when they are turned on individually. But was unsure for cases such as, if shuffle and loop are turned on simultaneously, or loop once and infinity are on simultaneously or if all 3 are turned on. But none of the answers helped lol.

level 1

If you ones know them they are “aesthetically” great

level 1

Is the Repeat icon supposed to play a song on loop, or the whole album?

The Autoplay icon looks confusing, and should always be set to "off" by default. In the past I've played albums to sleep only to wake up throughout the night because the "algorithm" wouldn't let it stop.

level 2

that’s an option in settings, you can’t control that from the music app
