Hey, guys. Today, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Pedal Commander Bluetooth throttle response controller for all 2011 to 2018 Mustangs. You're gonna wanna be checking this out if you're looking for a way to improve your drive-by-wire throttle response in your car, without having to purchase a custom tune or go with a tuner. It plugs right in behind your accelerator pedal and it's gonna improve your throttle response. The install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and this costs about $330.So with drive-by-wire, there's a little bit of delay between the time that you hit the pedal and the time that the car actually moves. This is just because of the way that drive-by-wire works. It's not something that you can change by the way you drive. Basically what happens is you hit the accelerator, a signal is then sent to the ECU, which then sends another signal up to the actuator that's controlling the throttle body which opens and closes the throttle body and that's the delay that you guys sometimes notice. The Pedal Commander here eliminates that delay. It plugs right in behind the accelerator and it gives you a crisp and clean throttle response. It's a great way to change your throttle response and the driving characteristics of the car without having to purchase a tune or go with a custom tune. The Pedal Commander will change that for you. It's gonna give you a nice clean and crisp throttle response. It's a good option if you guys aren't ready for a tuner or a custom tune yet. It doesn't actually add any horsepower, torque, or change anything in the ECU. It's just gonna change your throttle response and the driving characteristics of the car.All right, guys, we're ready to get the install started. So the most difficult part if you wanna call it difficult is probably gonna be reaching the connection behind the accelerator pedal. It's just a matter of getting your arm in that tight space. What I'm gonna do is I'm actually gonna run the wire down right here between the steering column and the dashboard. You guys can do it any way that you'd like to. One thing I will say is just make sure that you don't have a whole lot of wire hanging. You wanna make sure that it's zip-tied up nice and clean and stays in place. All right so we're actually gonna squeeze this down through here. All right so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna reach up behind the accelerator, actually at the very top of the pedal. We are going to release this clip up here and we'll plug our Pedal Commander in. So there is a locking red tab on here. We'll pop the red tab off, and then disconnect the connection. All right, now we'll plug the Pedal Commander in. And make sure we clip the red tab down.All right guys, now we will plug in the other end of the Pedal Commander harness to the harness that we unplugged from behind the accelerator. Once again, locking tab. Make sure we lock that tab. Now that we have this thing plugged in, it's time to mount it. You can mount it anywhere you like. We're gonna mount it right here on the dash. Just know that there is a little backing on the backside of this velcro to peel off. So we'll mount it to the dashboard once we do that. And if you guys ever wanna remove the Pedal Commander, you guys can see how the velcro works here. So we can remove it, do what we need to with it, and then put it right back on the velcro and it'll stay in place. Once again, you do wanna make sure that you zip tie this wire up and out of the way.All right, so now that we have the Pedal Commander all installed, let's talk about some of the features and how this actually works. So you guys can see that you have four modes here. You have eco, city, sport, and sport plus. So city is gonna be the default for the Pedal Commander and that's great for everyday driving. Your sport mode is gonna be for more spirited driving. And then sport plus for race and track situations. Eco is really gonna be for things like bad weather conditions, when you need traction, maybe offroading, or if you're really concerned about fuel economy.So within these four settings, you also have sensitivity settings as well. You guys can increase or decrease the sensitivity. So we're gonna go ahead and turn this on. You can see right now we're in eco. All we have to do is press this button here and we'll switch over to city. You guys can see by the light which mode we're in. Now we're in sport. Now we're in sport plus. If we press and hold this button, all of the lights are gonna go off and this means that you're in stock mode. If you wanna turn it back on, just hit the power button back on. If you guys wanna increase the sensitivity of the throttle in the eco mode or any mode that you happen to be in, you're just gonna hit the plus button. Once again, you have lights down here so you can see where you're at. If you guys wanna decrease, you'll hit the decrease button.One cool new thing about the Pedal Commander is that this is Bluetooth compatible and that's gonna make it even easier to access for you. And just so you guys know, you can stack this with a tune or another programmer, which means that if you're ever looking to get a custom tune or use a programmer in the future, you don't have to uninstall the Pedal Commander. Eliminates Delay. The 2011-2022 Ford Mustangs are all notorious for delayed throttle response. That's where the Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller comes in. Ford uses a drive-by-wire system that monitors the position of the gas pedal to control the throttle electronically, similar to a dimmer switch. The problem with this setup is that the signal from the pedal has to first be sent the ECU, which in turn then sends the signal to the actuator motor that controls the throttle body itself. This delay is most noticeable when trying to speed up to merge with fast moving traffic or pass a slower moving car. However, the Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller will eliminate the delayed throttle response, and you change settings from your smart device, instead of bending over and doing in your Mustang.

Four Adjustable Control Modes. Unlike other throttle control devices that are either on or off, the Pedal Commander comes with four preset control modes for Eco, City, Sport and Sport Plus driving applications. Best of all each mode has 8 different levels of sensitivity, this will allow you to personally adjust each mode to your own personal driving style and needs. It can be done manually on the Commander, or you can do all of that from your smart device, without having to bend over and physically touch the Pedal Commander.

Easy Plug & Play Installation. The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller connects directly into the stock throttle position sensor found on the drive-by-wire gas pedal using an OEM style plug and play connector with no permanent modifications required. The Pedal Commander is 100% reversible making it warranty friendly.

2-Year Product Warranty. Pedal Commander manufactures their Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller to the highest quality and standards with CE and TUV Certification. However in the event you do receive a defective or malfunctioning device, Pedal Commander will replace it free of charge within 2 years of the original purchase date.

Compatible with Aftermarket Programmers. The Pedal Commander Bluetooth Throttle Response Controller can be used in conjunction with common aftermarket OBD-II programmers and/or monitors such as: SCT, Diablosport, Hypertech, Superchips, Bully Dog, and Edge. If your vehicle has a custom tune, it is not recommended to use the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller. A custom tune can improve the throttle response.
