We like to think of ourselves as an inclusive kinda lot here at HoneyKids, and we’re always on a mission to discover the best family-friendly eats, activities and cool new things to try in Singapore for kids and adults. But what about the other, endlessly loyal members of the family? Yep: pets need paw-some places to hang out too, so we’ve been barking up the right trees all over Singapore in search of days out for humans and their pooches. From staycations and brunches to outdoors activities, here’s a curated list of (almost) everything dog-friendly in Singapore. Read on for our recommendation on where to get some uber-chic dog accessories too!

2. Amara Sanctuary Resort

Another petcation resort-style destination in Sentosa – the Amara Sanctuary Resort offers the Pampered Paws package, which includes a night stay at a luxurious suite for two adults and a dog, complimentary breakfast, wifi, and an array of amenities for your pet curated by Silversky and Stellar. Go out and explore Sentosa with the kids and check out everything this beautiful island has to offer. Or, stay in, order up some room service, and enjoy the in-suite jacuzzi with your furry friend.

3. Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa

Whisk doggo off to another resort getaway in Sentosa! Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa has specially created a retreat package for you and your furkid, which includes a night stay (between Mondays and Thursdays) at either the Luxury Garden or the Villa du Jardin. Doggy will get their own Pet Amenity Basket as well as a pet-friendly inflatable pool (upon request). 4. Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

Previously, the idea of bringing your pet to the grand Four Seasons seemed like a farfetched dream. Fast forward to now, and Four Seasons Hotel is ready to shower your pet with goodies, such as a personalised towel with your precious pet name embroidered on it, a pet bowl, pet bed, and bottled water. The downside is, there’s a cleaning fee of $100 applied to the room or $130 for suites… but we say Fido is totally worth it!

5. Regent Singapore

If crossing to Sentosa is not your thing, how about staying central at Regent Singapore with your furkid? Your four-legged friend will be fully taken care of with the pet ‘minibar’ basket, which includes a microfibre towel, hand-made natural bar soap ($28), hand-knit wool headrests ($22), coat tamers ($38) and other accessories. If you’re still on the fence, the hotel is throwing in a $100 in-room dining voucher with the package, along with a separate room service menu for your pet, so you can enjoy a meal together. We don’t know about you, but we’re totally sold on the idea of having an executive chef cook up a succulent feast for our pets!

6. Gallop Kranji Farm Resort

How about getting away for a break in the countryside with the kids and the hound in tow? We love Kranji for its amazing farms, and Gallop Kranji Farm Resort caters for the whole family when it comes to an easy staycation right here in Singapore. And let’s just pop this here from the get-go: there’s a spa for us mums!

7. Fairmont Singapore

Here’s another conveniently located hotel that welcomes pets for a staycation. Fairmont Singapore invites you and your furkid to a pampering pawcation retreat with luxurious accommodations on dedicated floors. 9. Canopy Garden Dining Bar

Once you’re done with the dog run at Bishan, head over to the dog-friendly vibes at Canopy Garden Dining Bar. Its brunch menu serves classic breakfast dishes such as Eggs Benedict and fluffy buttermilk pancakes, and delish bigger dishes including lobster pomodoro. Dogs are only allowed at the alfresco dining area outside, but with all that abundance of gorgeous green nature, who wants to be cooped up indoors anyway? Psst, there’s also a Canopy to enjoy at pretty Hort Park too, and it accepts our canine pals too!

10. Open Farm Community

Not only is Open Farm Community a family-friendly dining icon in cool ‘hood Dempsey with its fun sandpit and gorgeous gardens to roam, but the family dog is welcome too. True story: we spotted a pampered pooch enjoying a birthday party here, complete with a birthday cake!

11. Sun Ray Cafe

Delicious coffee and a room full of wagging tails sound like a great pick for dogs and humans alike at Sun Ray Cafe. Check out the special menu for hounds (using top-grade meats, cooked without any ingredients that will be harmful to pooch’s tum), or even celebrate your furkid’s birthday with their fellow furry friends here. 12. Publico

Robertson Quay is such a buzzing hub of family fun, among which is Publico Ristorante – a gourmet destination playground dishing up contemporary Italian plates and drinks. The indoor space is casual chic, while the alfresco dining area offers a dog-friendly environment. Have we mentioned how dreamy this place is at night? Take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life and get into a holiday mood at this seafood-centric and dog-friendly restaurant located on Keppel Island. 14. The Garden Slug

The folks behind The Garden Slug are huge animal lovers, so they’re definitely dog-friendly. Plus, the place serves up awesome, unpretentious food in a comfortable setting. The independent cafe – which often hosts events for animal charities – is located next to a heap of pet stores, so you can grab your coffee and kibble in one go. Pawsome!

15. Wildseed Cafe & Bar

This colonial-style cafe and bar is set at a two-story bungalow with an old English country vibe. Boasting a farm to table concept, guests and their four-legged friends can enjoy dishes with freshly picked garnishes in the adjacent garden. Its alfresco dining area and garden are both spacious and dog-friendly, so sit back, relax with your pooch, and enjoy a Kaya Martini – we have done the taste test and can assure you that it is heavenly.

16. Mylo’s

Mylo’s is a new cafe that’s opened up at Gardens by the Bay, AKA our fave kid-friendly hangout. Located at the Active Garden, you and your entire party can wind down here with some tasty gelato or other yummy treats like pastries and sammies. Pups get their own treats, which include homemade biscuits and popsicles. You and doggo can enjoy a lovely view of the Waterfront Promenade by Marina Reservoir.

17. Cafe de Nicole’s Flower

This IG-worthy cafe at Telok Kurau is the definition of dog-friendly cafe – it welcomes all furry friends (yes, even indoors), so long as they’re well-behaved and friendly. There are plenty of spaces for your brood to sit, have a good meal, and take photos. And by taking photos, we mean loads of them! The pretty blooms in this cafe lend the perfect backdrop to your pictures.

18. Dog Cruise on the Royal Albatross

Who’s been a good dog? If it’s your dog, and you’re thinking of treating your furkid, how about taking them on a dog cruise? The Royal Albatross now allows furry friends to join their humans on the Sunset Dinner Cruise on Wednesdays at 6.30pm. Doggos can feast on a gourmet menu that comes with an entree, a main course (the Nasi Lemak sounds yum, honestly!), and dessert. Plus, your pet gets to sit on the dining table, just like any other member of the family. There’s even a surprise dog goodie bag waiting for them! All dogs are welcome on the cruise, though dog ticket needs to be purchased separately (price depends on the size of the dog).

19. Pet Cruise

Charter a 26-foot catamaran for up to 10 passengers (including four-legged friends) and set sail to Seletar Island with the whole family on a two-hour cruise equipped with both human AND doggy life jackets. 20. Sunny Heights

When it comes to top-notch fun for your furry friend, then look no further than Sunny Heights. This doggy daycare heaven goes beyond just a place for your pooch to hang out while us human folk are working… Grooming, swimming, a hotel, a doggy bakery, and a dog-friendly cafe are all part of the experience!

21. Brownie Buddies

Everyone loves a little retreat from everyday life from time to time, pups included! So why not pamper the pooch in your life with a day at this amazing pet spa? Choose from such doggy delights, including skincare, fur care and dental care, and once your doggy-friends are looking dog-gone gorgeous, they can hang out in the fun playroom while waiting for their humans to pick them up.

22. Tanjong Beach

A fur-tastic place to bring your kids AND your dog for a fun-packed day by the sea. Dogs are allowed on the sand with their human friends before taking a dip in the sea to cool off. Although normal rules do apply – they have to stay on the leash. Feeling hun-grrrrrr-y? Tanjong Beach Club will welcome your pup and provide bowls of drinking water, too.

23. Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

Located at Bishan Park 2, this doggy patch of heaven comprises two enclosures: one for small breeds and the other for the bigger dogs on the block. Certain breeds will need a muzzle (check the AVS rules to see if your pet needs one), and dogs can run free off-leash with their other furry friends. 24. Jurong Lake Gardens

Over at Jurong Lake Gardens, there’s a dedicated dog run for Fido to let loose and power those paws. And the kicker? Drop the kids at the amazing playground so they can burn off their energy, too!

25. Rail Corridor

This gorgeously green 24km stretch between the old Tanjong Pagar railway station and the Woodlands Train checkpoint is where Singapore used to be connected by train to Malaysia. The line is now unused but far from unloved, and provides an ideal rambling spot for the whole family, four-legged pals included. You can also nip to fam-fave ‘hood, Bukit Timah, whilst you’re here!

26. Singapore Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens is a popular place for scenic dog walks, surrounded by lush greenery. Canine friends are not allowed off-leash but can explore the extensive gardens with the fam before a well-earned big bowl of water at pup-friendly Bee’s Knees at the Garage (humans can have coffee if they prefer).

27. Marina Barrage

Pack up the kids, the dog and the kites and head over to Marina Barrage for a breezy afternoon by the sea. Well-behaved dogs are allowed here but must remain on the leash. There’s also free water play for the littlies, yay!

28. West Coast Park and Dog Run

For the Westies of the island – as well as all other dog breeds (sorry, we couldn’t resist the bad pun!) – West Coast Park provides hours of fun. The dog run is open all day, every day too, hooray! If you have a larger breed then do be prepared to muzzle your dog regardless of how gentle a giant it is.
