Meet Santa, See Snow, Christmas Markets at Capitol Singapore

Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES are putting on the Christmas event Ride Into an Enchanted Christmas with a Christmas Market, hands-on craft workshops on the weekends for dessert-making workshops by The Capitol Kempinski Hotel’s chefs, bento making, punch needling, knitting, embroidery and soap-making sessions. Bring the kids to the Outdoor Plaza where snow will fall for a White Winter experience. Santa will also be making an appearance but not in your typical style. Watch out for Sidecar Santa for ideal photo-taking opportunities to create some memories to look back on, complete with goodie bags to give out and heritage tour rides to take you on.

Skating & Christmas workshops at CHIJMES

Over at CHIJMES, the Ride Into an Enchanted Christmas event continues with a Christmas Market, step into The Lawn and be mesmerised by a mini pop-up skating rink. The rink is made of plastic so it can be a little difficult for kids to skate on (entry is for 12 year-olds+). Get ready for snow fall here every evening plus every half an hour, the facade of CHIJMES will come alive with projection mapping festive displays.

Christmas Wonderland

Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay is an annual highlight, and this year, it’s back and better than ever. Christmas Wonderland 2021 will feature spectacular light displays, photo ops with Santa Claus, carnival games, a Venetian double-storey carousel for kids to ride on, plus a European-style Christmas market and a special festive Garden Rhapsody light and sound show! Meet ‘Santa’, Get Free Gifts: Pororo Park Singapore & Tayo Station

Ring in the 12 days of Christmas at Pororo Park Singapore, Tayo Station, SuperPark and Petite Tayo KidsClub from 25 December 2021 – 5 January 2022! Snap your family’s annual Christmas photo with the White Christmas-themed decor at any of these four parks. Kids can write a letter to Santa for a chance to win prizes worth up to $3,000, plus there are Best Photo and Caption Contests to enter (with amazing prizes) too. Littlies can also spend time with Santa Tayo and Santa Pororo. Christmas Scented Gel Candle Workshop

Led by a certified trainer with more than 10 years of experience creating and designing her own candles, kids aged 9 and above will get to learn about different types of wax, fragrance oils and essential oils, how to create their own gel candle and utilise the floating effect, the different terms used in candlemaking, how to use pretty decorative embellishments, and the art of layering. The gel candles your kids make can be brought home and they’ll also get a complete list of ingredients needed to make your own gel candle at home. All the materials that will be used during this Christmas activity are eco-friendly and 100% natural.

Singapore’s Tallest Supermarket Christmas Tree at Giant Grants Wishes

Look out for Singapore’s tallest supermarket Christmas wishing tree at the Giant Tampines Hypermarket, where you can make a ‘wish’ for the season. In the spirit of Christmas, for every wish submitted Giant and UOB will be donating $2 to Children’s Wishing Well, a non-profit organisation supporting children and youth from low-income families nationwide. Just scan a QR code at the 6-metre tree to make your wish. If you know of someone who needs financial assistance to better their health or a frontliner who wants to travel home to meet their families this Christmas, make a wish for them! On 12 January 2021, Giant and UOB will select 10 wishes and on behalf of Santa Claus, will make these wishes come true!

Christmas Scented Oil Candlemaking Workshop

At this Christmas activity in Singapore, you’ll learn how to make your own Christmas-themed candles with a lovely selection of oils, dried florals and fruits, which will be used alongside various wax colours, scents and accent decorations. There are also special scents such as Christmas Pudding and Clove and Sandlewood. Mulled wine and Christmas snacks will be provided, too. A Universal Christmas

Expect plenty of holiday cheer at Universal Studios Singapore’s annual Christmas event! Hop on the Rockin’ Railway train and admire the Christmas trees with decor inspired by franchises like Minions, Jurassic Park and Shrek, and catch the Christmas Train Track Trio’s upbeat festive songs while you’re at it. Snap a selfie with Gru, Lucy, Edith, Agnes and Margo from Despicable Me, the Cookie Monster and Oscar from Sesame Street plus Shrek and Princess Fiona. Make your way afterwards to the Sesame Street-themed Winter Wonderland, where you can join Elmo and Abby to write letters to Santa, or help Minions Kevin and Stuart send out their Christmas letters using a fun augmented reality trick!
