The MEM10296 provides 18% more oil than the original stock LS1 oil pump. The inlet and outlet passages have been optimised to improve oil flow entering and exiting the pump which improves overall pump performance. The design of the pressure relief has been updated to improve low RPM performance. The pressure by-pass setting has been increased 10 psi, with the installed spring. An additional pressure relief spring is supplied which will reduce the by-pass back to the stock setting. The pump cover is CNC machined from cast iron and coated to improve performance and durability. The oil pump housing is CNC machined from cast aluminium and hard-coat anodised to increase hardness and improve durability.

Melling Select Performance has been manufacturing and providing cutting edge performance engine parts for over 65 years. One of the most trusted names in the business, this is a direct high volume replacement for your factory oil pump.The Melling M295HV oil pump is a high pressure, high volume oil pump that offers improved resistance against cavitation at higher RPMs. The cast aluminum housing is CNC-machined and hardcoat anodized. The cast iron cover is CNC-machined and phosphate coated. The relief valve features a screw-in valve plug. The factory LS oil pump suffers from cavitation above 6,200 RPM, which results in a drop in oil flow of nearly 1 GPM by 7,000 RPM. This cavitation can also aerate the oil, which causes drops in oil pressure and can result in oil starvation. This is why we do not recommend shifting any higher than 6,200 RPM with a stock oil pump. Engines that run at RPM's above 6,200 should use an upgraded Melling pump to prevent these issues.

The pumps are built using a proprietary casting process, which yields maximum performance and reliability. Every Melling oil pump is completely pressure-tested, including idle and bypass pressure, before it leaves the factory.

This makes the Melling high volume oil pump a perfect addition to any camshaft upgrade or simply as a serviceable replacement - all whilst remaining incredibly cost effective and very simple to install.

This oil pump also includes 2 pick-up O-rings. The thicker green O-ring is to be used on a pick-up tube that has a recess in it for a captured O-ring seal, whereas the black O-ring is suitable for a more traditional style pick-up tube. Both are included to ensure you have the correct seal for your application.
