Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check your Trash Keep deleted images and videos in the Trash for 30 days before they are deleted forever.

Step 1. Open Gallery app > tap Menu.
Step 2. Select Trash > tap Edit.
Step 3. Select photos you want to restore > tap Restore.

To use Trash, you should have turned on the Trash before you deleted photos.

Step 1. Open Gallery app > tap Menu.
Step 2. Select Settings >Select Trash to turn on.

Check your Trash

Items will be permanently deleted after 60 days in Trash.

Step 1. Open Google Photos app > tap Library.
Step 2. Select Trash > tap Select.
Step 3. Select photos you want to restore > tap Restore.
Step 4. Tap the pop-up to restore items.

Check your account
Some photos may look like they disappeared because you are in a different account.
Check your signed-in account. Is that the account you backed up your photos to? If not, sign out, and then sign in with the correct account.

Option 3. Using Samsung Cloud Click to Expand

Gallery sync using Samsung Cloud has been switching to MS OneDrive for convenience. Periodic backups are required to prevent unwanted data loss including photos and videos. You may also find more information on  ‘How can I backup data on my Galaxy device automatically?’. 

Step 1. Navigate to Gallery > tap More options (three vertical dots) > Settings.

Step 2. Tap Cloud sync > Connect your Samsung and Microsoft accounts if needed.

Step 3. follow on-screen instructions until the sync has started.
