More I highly recommend Tuscany restaurant! Make a reservation as soon as you get to the hotel to make sure you get to experience it. Elias and Fernando were excellent, the food was delicious, and the beautiful live violin set a perfect scene for a nice date night. Great ambiance. San Antonio, Texas4 contributions2 helpful votes Hotel's Favorite My wife and I along with our daughter (18 months) visited Grand and I'm currently sitting in the bar enjoying a cocktail while my lovely ladies take a rest. Where to start? First, this resort is enormous. Built years ago, you can see the age, but it's also its charm. From the moment we walked in we were treated by 6 star service (No 5 isn't enough) If you're annoyed by the words my pleasure, go to another country. Mexican culture makes US culture look laughable. Those of you pissed by this statement are pissed because you know it's true and to argue would be simple minded. Things of note: They have a 24k show you need to book for Sundays only. As well, Tuesdays and Thursdays are complimentary Isla Mujeres excursions (leave by 1030, get to concierge by 945) and schedule a couple days in advance. Book your dinner reservations in advavce . Thank me later. Take no bill larger than 10. Thank me later. Order from the Pool. (Isla Contoya side) Carlos, server at the pool, was the best service experience we received at this hotel, and that's not to take the service at other parts lightly. He's a 7 star. Ask him about room 666. He made our vacation great at the pool. Not one location deserves this gentleman, but if it has to be one, let it be Grand Fiesta. I truly hope my older daughter one day gets to come back here and meet this young man. He's an all time keeper and this is coming from a 25 year restaurant manager. He's Aces!!! Also, if you forget your cigar cutter, Isabel outside of the le Basilia is there to take care of you, plus she's an amazing my pleasure service just like all of the employees here. Look, I'm not going to fully sugar coat. Not everything was perfect. 2 food experiences were not the greatest. But most importantly, what wasn't lacking was the brilliant service. As a former restaurant manager, look, not everything foodwise is perfect, but dammit, the service better always be. Here, they understood the assignment. This resort is one of the greatest vacation experiences we've had in 16 years with me and my wife. And the fact we brought our 18 month old and it was perfect makes this review fool proof. Thank you to this wonderful resort and to your incredibly well trained, perfectly courteous and efficient staff. Your safety covid protocols, brilliant staff and my pleasure service will stay with me and my wife and our daughter forever. Otsego, Minnesota1 contribution We just got back from Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach this past week celebrating our wedding anniversary. We spent six (6) days at the resort and enjoyed it. The food was very good. We tried the Italian restaurant, Tuscany, and the seafood restaurant, Isla Contoy. The service was great and so was the food. We ate breakfast at the buffet, Vina Del Mar. The breakfast is the normal breakfast food you would find at any all-inclusive. Lunch was ordered at the pool. The waiters have a lunch menu they offer for poolside and at the beach. Several servers/waiters to be mentioned for the great job they did. Wilberth does a great job at the breakfast buffet in Vina Del Mar. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. At the pool, Samuel was the best waiter. He always had our Miami Vices coming as soon as we sat down. And at the beach, Sylvia took care of us with drinks as well. All three of these workers made our time at the resort a pleasure. The resort is very clean and the workers are ALWAYS cleaning something. We stayed in an Oceanfront Junior Suite. The room was clean, the refrigerator was stocked, and we received complimentary slippers and bathrobes. Even though it is an all-inclusive, make sure you tip the servers, waiters, housekeepers, bellboys and drivers. If you are coming to Cancun to relax, this is the resort to do so. It was made even better by a wonderful dinner at El Mexicano restaurant inside the resort. Our server, Limber, is a master of the service industry arts and was a pleasure to dine with. Sandy was an extraordinary host and was polite and welcoming throughout our dinner. Would stay again and 10/10 recommend having dinner at El Mexicano! I have loved the white sand beach with no sargassum. The water's pool was hot. Try the restaurant LE BASILIC, it was AMAZING! The place is amazing, the food was extremely good, the beach is pristine and most importantly the hotel staff were so kind and the most hard working I’ve ever seen. I wish I could mention every single person but 4 people that stood out were Ricardo & Orlando down at the cute little sushi restaurant at the beach and also Cesar and Jorge from Isla contoy were all fabulous. Our room was beautiful and spacious and had an amazing view and was kept so clean by the maids. I was part of the flight delays for Sunwing which was a bit of a nightmare and Luis from the front desk was so helpful in extending our stay a little longer to accommodate the delay- it was greatly appreciated by us and took some stress away. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hotel itself because it’s unavoidable anywhere you stay but the people staying at the hotel really need to be more courteous while walking through hallways and leaving/entering their rooms. We had people beside us that were so noisy and the people above were non stop moving/dragging chairs and tables early in the morning so we never slept in ONCE! Every time I left my room I quietly let the door close and never talked loud in the hallway so we didn’t disturb anyone. I just don’t understand how people can be so rude honestly but it is what it is. The front desk felt really bad about it and we ended up getting a hydrotherapy session on them which was soooooo nice and relaxing which is what we needed. I highly recommend purchasing that if you stay there. The hotel it’s beautiful and the service is out of this world. I can’t say enough about the excellent restaurants, from Le Basilic (worth every penny) to the Spa dinner (worth every penny). The pools were amazing. I especially enjoyed the center pool. It was the perfect temp and always had something going. Special shout out to Antonio!!! You are amazing, funny and we already miss you!! Please take part in the water aerobics or anything he’s hosting!! Another special shout out to Luis the pool bartender!! Just an amazing bartender and super attentive. He kept me going with amazing drinks and great conversations!! I already miss him too!! There are so many I can mention but two more stand outs are Jahdiel and Floriberto at the breakfast buffet. They were amazingly hospitable and so very kind. I will miss hanging with them each morning! So much fun!! To all of the hotel leadership, everyone was great and amazing but the above mentioned were outstandingly amazing and you have truly excellent examples of hospitality!! I have to mention the Nakaax restaurant near the beach. The view is great even during dinner time, dj has a good taste of music. We have Ricardo helping us with the drink and Orlando with the food. Their recommendation are great. We trust everything they bring to our table and we are satisfied.
