Is DAP window door and siding 100% silicone paintable?DAP 100% Silicone Window & Door Sealant (as is the case with all 100% silicone rubber sealants), is not paintable.
What is the difference between silicone and DAP?Use DAP DYNAFLEX 230 Premium if it has to be painted.
They last longest and hold up best, but are harder to apply (can make a real mess) and silicone isn't paintable. Silicone "Tub and Tile" caulk has a mildewcide -- use in areas that get wet, but don't use it in an area where it will contact food or drinking water.
How long does DAP 100% silicone take to dry?At 73°F & 50% relative humidity, sealant is water resistant at 30 minutes & reaches full cure in 24 hours. Low humidity may slow cure.
