Bill burr live from madison square garden vinyl

Bill Burr is going to release a new album.

The comedian took to social media today to announce the release of a double vinyl album, Live From Madison Square Garden. It will be the audio recording of his sold-out performance at the iconic venue during the 2018 New York Comedy Festival.

Live From Madison Square Garden will be available exclusively on vinyl and only available through Amoeba Records beginning September 23 at 11am PT. Fans can purchase the album either in-store at Amoeba in Los Angeles or on their website. Unfortunately as of right now, the album is only available to ship within the US due to COVID.

I love Bill Burr's humor. This guy is hilarious IMO. The corner of the LP case was slightly bent. Not a big deal, but it wasn't in perfect condition. The vinyl recording is OK. There are times when the crowd noise gets loud (laughter) and it starts to have a little static. I listen to it anyway, but I think the production of the vinyl itself was done cheaply.

Burr initially released it as a limited pressing a few months after his special from that year (this contains largely the same material) because he wanted to commemorate having finally played Carnegie Hall. The recording is solid, "New Jersey's Own"/"Dude, I Called It" Paul Virzi announces him at the beginning of the album, and long-time fans will enjoy Bill mocking "The Teen Idol Sensation" Joe De Rosa during one bit. The inner sleeve has plenty of great photos of backstage with Bill and the guys. Highly recommended for diehards.

I've been waiting for this album and when I got it , I was not disappointed. Bill Burr, Massachusetts born like me, except I live in Western Mass and I'm not a stand up. Anyways I play this once I received it in the mail. I listen to His Monday Morning podcast, I bought the book Cheat, that he wrote with no help from Two other comedians, I hope to see him live so I can get it signed.

I ordered one copy of this album and the pressing was bad. The LP was warped, clicked, and popped very frequently. A ride on the Spin Clean did absolutely nothing. I returned it for a second copy and this one is worse than the first. Since I'm a huge Bill Burr fan I've decided to keep it but won't listen to it as the recording is almost unlistenable to me which is unfortunate since Bill absolutely destroys in this performance. With all the new hardware Jack White bought for his pressing factory I'm shocked how poor this record is. I hate to be so negative but I'm just being honest.

The sound quality is high quality and it has some of Bill Burr's best jokes. I would highly recomend for any Bill Burr fans.

Classic Bill Burr. Great record. rehashes a lot of his old stuff so don't expect brand new material, but awesome for collection's sake.

This special might largely be the same as You People Are All the Same, but it is still just as good. It's nice to own something limited to just vinyl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic album from Carnegie Hall for Bill Burr fanatics

Bill Burr is one of the greatest stand ups in American history. I laughed the whole way through this album.

Just so people know what they're buying, this album was recorded in Carnegie Hall a few months before his 2012 special 'You People Are All The Same' (the one that is on netflix) so most of the material is essentially the same. Bill says as much on his podcast, and that's part of the reason why he released this album only on vinyl. He only wants people who are really big fans to get it and doesn't want people to feel like they're getting ripped off.

Since the material is about 80% the same as 'You People Are All The Same' this isn't for everyone. Bill does change up the tag lines here and there, has some other jokes and ones that he uses on the netflix special but aren't fully developed.

So if you're a huge fan of stand up comedy and loves seeing the process of how jokes evolve or you're a Bill Burr enthusiasts then this is for you. For the people who are more casual consumers of stand up comedy and want completely new material, you may want to pass.

Here is the tract list so you can see for your self the content and decide if you want it, or if seeing it on Netflix again is enough for you:

Side one-

Intro/thank-you
I'm getting a gun
Lotion
Being sober
Fixing s***
What are you gonna do?
Afraid of your wife
Playing catch

Side two-

My dog
Getting a goat
Fatties and alcoholics
No reason to hit a woman
No questions/Rihanna
Take a knee
Gold digging whores
Nobody cares
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Platoon of whores
Goodnight
