Aw 68 hydraulic oil 55 gallon

Coastal Premium AW 68 Hydraulic Oil, 55 gallon drum, is a premium-quality anti-wear hydraulic oil. This oil is designed to meet the most stringent requirements of most major manufacturers and users of hydraulic equipment. It is characterized by low deposit formation, good demulsibility, and good anti-foam properties.

This hydraulic oil contains an effective anti-wear agent that helps reduce wear in highspeed, high-pressure vane, and gear pumps. It is particularly well suited for all industrial and mobile hydraulic system applications as well as vane, gear, and piston pumps operated above 3000 psi.

Coastal Premium AW Hydraulic Oil Benefits

  • Excellent wear protection
  • Rapid release of any entrained air
  • Oxidation and thermal stability for long life
  • Excellent rust and corrosion protection
  • Easy filterability

This lubricant is recommended for applications in Cincinnati Lamb, Hagglunds-Denison HF-0 and HF-2, Vickers M-2950-S and I-286-S, Passes Vickers 35VQ25 and V104C (ASTM D2882) vane pump tests, Passes Denison P-46 piston pump and T-6C vane pump tests, U.S. Steel 127 and 136, and DIN 51524 Part II.

Coastal Premium AW 68 Hydraulic Oils are product a of Warren Oil Company. They feature a viscosity index of 100 and a pour point of 0°F. These products are suitable for all types of hydraulic pumps except for those containing silver plated parts which still require non-zinc oils.

Note: The dielectric strength will decrease if the oil becomes contaminated with dirt or even a very small amount of water.

This product is available in 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums.

Product Reviews

What is AW 68 hydraulic oil used for?

Chevron Clarity Hydraulic Oil AW ISO 68 is designed to give excellent protection in mobile and stationary hydraulic vane-, piston-, and gear-type pumps and in high-performance industrial applications as well as in environmentally sensitive areas.

What is the difference between ISO 68 and AW 68 hydraulic oil?

AW 68 hydraulic fluids have an International Standards Viscosity Grade or ISO VG of 68. This is the thickness of the fluid tested at 40 degrees Celsius. ISO VG 68 is on the heavier side for a hydraulic fluid which flows equivalent to a SAE 20 weight lubricant.

What is the difference between AW32 and AW 68?

32 is thinner, No. 46 is medium and No. 68 is thicker. Generally speaking, if the temperature is low in winter, use #32 & #46 hydraulic oil with a lower viscosity, and use #68 hydraulic oil with a higher viscosity in summer.

What does 68 mean in hydraulic oil?

HLP 68 viscosity The viscosity of HLP 68 refers to the defined viscosity class of ISO VG (International Organization for Standardization Viscosity Grade). This describes that the kinematic viscosity of the hydraulic oil at 40 °C must be between 61.2 and 74.8 mm²/s. The centre point viscosity is exactly 68 mm²/s.
