The Astral GreenJacket rescue PFD sets the standard for whitewater pros. It combines full rescue capabilities with the comfort, protection and style of today's best low-profile life jackets.

Foam Tectonics allow the outer front panel to move freely with your upper body as the inner panel stays anchored in place.
500 denier Cordura® nylon with PVC-Free Gaia™ and PE foam flotation make this a tough, environmentally-friendly life jacket.
Molded clamshell front pocket construction with multiple compartments for organized storage.
Rope ready storage behind front panel and side pockets for web tow storage.
A quick-release rescue harness is tack stitched into the vest for ultimate strength and integrity.
Eight adjustment points ensure a custom fit.
Features round out with a lash tab for attaching a rescue knife, a Spectra® safety loop for emergency extractions, and side pockets for web tow storage.
This jacket carries the US Coast Guard Certification, through testing by Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

The Astral Green Jacket is legendary! For almost a decade, the Green Jacket has set the standard in heavy whitewater - both among professional paddlers and ambitious amateurs. The Green Jacket is fully developed and only undergoes minimal changes with the infrequent model changes.
The main feature is the snug fit over the stomach. The vest is optimally adjusted by several hip straps that can be opened on one side. This means that the Green Jacket can be easily slipped over the shoulder, but it can also be pulled over the head as a slip-on vest when closed. The vertical adjustment straps under the breast pocket pull the vest down and perfect the adjustment. Adjustable shoulder straps are thus unnecessary, which gives the vest a clean look and avoids annoying strap ends.

The breast pocket that folds forward has often been copied by other manufacturers. Clarity and handling are unmatched: a lot fits in here, the all-round zipper opens the bag like a vendor's tray. Whether it's a rescue blanket, folding knife or muesli bar - the tool of choice is immediately at hand.

Our first products (2002) were life jackets. Today Astral is widely known for the most innovative life jackets in whitewater, tame water or at sea. We started making shoes in 2012 because there was no quick-drying paddle shoe with sufficient grip. It has been found that our fundamental approach to footwear design - the foot's natural ability to maintain balance and support in extreme locations - also results in extremely comfortable and versatile footwear for use on trails and in the city. Our goal is to create equipment that enhances people's experience of nature while maintaining clean soil and water.
