Do a search here & you will find a lot on the Main relay. If so i've already changed that one and it made no difference.I thought that was the fuel pump relay only. if its the main relay what else does it control, because I just realized the park lockout on the shifter quit working also, key on, hit the brake, still locked. gotta put key in slot on console to get out of park. 09-16-2010, 09:34 AMJoin Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,023 The main relay is attached to the side of the car under the dash, it's above the handle that you pull to open the hood. It should say "RELAY, MAIN" on the label. Remove it from the car, open it up and resolder the circuit board inside. Usually the problem with the park interlock is that the brake light fuse is blown. Do the brake lights work? 09-16-2010, 09:46 AMJunior Member Thread Starter Join Date: Sep 2010 Posts: 4 Ok. so the relay I thought was just fuel pump IS the main relay, well I did some more checking and found the ACG fuse blown, the main relay was intermitently malfunctioning and it is now replaced. It's now running again but I have a code 43 for fuel supply system even after clearing the ecu it comes back. The only drivability problem I see is a hesitation when its cold, if I floor it, it picks up and goes. After it warms up the cel comes on and it never hesitates again, runs like a bat outta hell! could the fuel pump be going bad or do I have other issues? thanks for the help guys! 09-16-2010, 09:56 AMJunior Member Thread Starter Join Date: Sep 2010 Posts: 4 Quote: Originally Posted by mk378 The main relay is attached to the side of the car under the dash, it's above the handle that you pull to open the hood. The engine's or the dashboard fuse box is usually a long black box containing a fuel pump relay and various other fuses and relays.
What is ACG fuse? The important ACG (S) fuse (#24) protects the ignition switch circuit that supplies battery power to the main relay, which in turn supplies battery power to the fuel pump. You probably only need to worry if the fuse blows every time you insert a new one.
Where is the fuel cut off switch on a Honda Civic?A manual shut-off valve is located underneath the vehicle, near the rear tire on the driver's side. We recommend that you locate this valve so you can find it quickly.
