Dipstick is made out of solid metal cord not braided stainless steel cable like pictured in the listing.Also, I cut the dipstick down to the desired length by drilling 1/8 inch hole in the cap and cutting the dipstick to the size I needed it to.Pros: with a little ingenuity the length of dipstick can be adjusted.Cons:. Dipstick was bent right out of the package. It took a little while to get it back straightened up.Also, the dipstick is not braided stainless steel like shown in the picture on the listing.

Also, I cut the dipstick down to the desired length by drilling 1/8 inch hole in the cap and cutting the dipstick to the size I needed it to.
Pros: with a little ingenuity the length of dipstick can be adjusted.
Cons:. Dipstick was bent right out of the package. It took a little while to get it back straightened up.
Also, the dipstick is not braided stainless steel like shown in the picture on the listing.

Why cars aren't coming with transmission dipsticks, I just don't know. But this definitely did the job for my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The instructions could have been a little more clear. But I eventually figured it out.
